Roulette game is the oldest, fun and exciting online casino game. Even though it has a high house edge, it is still tremendously popular. The description included the house pockets.”
There are exactly two slots reserved for the bank, whence it derives its sole mathematical advantage. “It then goes on to describe the layout with.”..two betting spaces containing the bank's two numbers, zero and double zero.” The book was published in 1801. An even earlier reference to a game of this name was published in regulations for New France in 1758, which banned the games of “dice, hoca, faro , and roulette.”
How to Play Roulette:
A max of eight players play against the house which is represented by the croupier, also called the dealer. The Dealer spins the roulette wheel and handles the wagers and payouts. In the European version, the wheel has 37 slots which represents 36 numbers and one zero. In the US version most of the roulette wheels have a single zero and a double zero therefore 38 slots.
The object of the game is to predict where the ball is going to land. Obviously, luck plays a very important part in roulette. A player must predict where the ball will land after each spin in order to win, which is not easy by any means.
Roulette have a variety of betting option. Players usually up to eight, play against the house represented by the croupier(dealer) who spins the roulette wheel and holds the stakes and payouts. When each player buys-in different colored chips are given to them so bets from various players are distinguishable. When you are finished playing, you exchange the colored chips with cash chips - provided you have any left! The special roulette chips MUST be exchanged for the cash chips because the roulette chips hold no cash value.
You take the cash chips to the cash desk where they will give you actual cash money in exchange. Of course, this step is done automatically for you when you are playing roulette online.
When playing roulette, you place your bets on the numbers (any of the numbers including the zero or double zero) on the table layout, or on the outside. When everyone at the table has had a chance to place their bets, the dealer will start the spin and launch the ball. Just before the ball is about to drop over the numbered slots, the dealer calls out 'no more bets'. From then on no one is allowed to place or change their bets until the play has finished and the winning bet has been paid out and all the losing bets have been collected.

Roulette Basic Betting
Two basic betting options are available to roulette players.
Outside Bets
Outside bets are the easiest bets to understand and master. The simplest bets offer even money (1:1 payouts) and involve betting on a color, odd or even or high or low. Players ca also bet on groups of 12 numbers at higher odds.
Inside Bets

12's: This bet is a bet that the ball will land in either the 1st section of 12 slots, teh 2nd section of 12 slots, or the 3rd section of 12 slots. This bet pays 2:1.
Single Number Bets:This is a bet that the ball will land on a given number. This bet pays 35:1.
Double Number Bets: This is a bet that the ball will land on either of the two numbers selected. This bet is placed by placing your chips on the line in between two nubers. This bet pays 17:1.
Four Number Bets: This is abet that the ball will land on 1 of four numbers selected. This bet is placed by placing your chips on the intersecting lines of four numbers. This bet pays 8:1.
Neighbor Bets: European Roulette Only: This is a bet that the ball will land on a number or it's four neighboring numbers. This bet is played as if you are betting 1/5 of your bet on each number. So if the ball lands on any of your numbers you get paid 35:1 on 1/5 of your bet.
Roulette Payouts
A straight-up bet, a bet that is only on one number pays 35 to 1. You collect 37 with out the house advantage, but with a house advantage you collect 36 or 38 in the USA on double zero wheels.

EN PRISON
This rule Apply's to even-money bets only, and only at some casinos. If the ball lands on zero, certain casinos will let the players either take half his/her bet back or leave it "en prison" (in prison) for another spin of the roulette wheel. If the following spin the outcome is zero again, then the whole bet is lost.
LA PARTAGE
This rule is similar to the en prison rule, except in the "La Partage" case the player loses half of their bet and doesn't get the option of leaving it "En Prison" for another spin. This applies when the outcome is zero, and refers to the"outside" even money bets red/black, high/low, odd/even. The casino edge on the 'even-money bets' are cut in half when the 'En Prison' or 'La Partage" rules are in effect.
